A small batch of the most delicious grapes given top-tier treatment. Bright, dense and bursting with flavour; this combines lush berries with darker chocolate and spice notes. Pretty, plush and just a little fancy.
GROWING & MAKING
Primo grapes grown by Terry Hobley on his pristine Metricup vineyard. This special site – gently sloping, inland and slightly cooler - grows some of the most concentrated and vibrant Malbec in Margaret River. Fermented in an open tank, hand plunged and basket pressed with the final wine being matured in 50% new Hungarian oak for 16 months. This glistens a vivid purple, with aromas of mulberries, black cherry, rose petal and Turkish delight. Big, plush and lush there’s more to this than just a swagger of delicious fruitiness; the new oak adds dark spice and definition, while firm tannins and balanced acidity give length and structure. Malbec is yum, this Fancy Pants Malbec is super-duper yum (and of course fancy).
Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
