Bright, vibrant and juicy. Cabernet Franc produces modern, elegant wines that suit modern, elegant drinkers.
GROWING & MAKING: Cabernet Franc grown by the Thompson Family (with help from my mate Dicko) from their 25-year-old Wilyabrup vineyard. The grapes were destemmed but not crushed, with the berries left whole for fermentation in an open vat. Gently hand-plunged, basket pressed and matured in neutral oak. This is all about bright fruit and vibrancy. Medium bodied, with cherries, boysenberries and pretty floral nose, this has deceptively fine tannins and a long finish. Super slurpable and yum, but layered with class and elegance.
Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
