Single Vineyard Grenache 2023
Intense red berry fruits, medium bodied, with a long savoury finish. Bright, delicious and delightfully moreish; Swan Valley Grenache is one of the unsung heroes of Western Australian wine.
GROWING & MAKING: Grenache is great and our 2023 version is sourced from old vines at the Stock Road Vineyard in the Swan Valley. Handpicking meant that we were able to use a combination of whole bunches, whole berries and crushed fruit in the fermentation to build complexity and structure. Two weeks on skins with gentle plunging, basket pressing and ten months maturation in older oak all aimed to maintain as much primary fruit as possible. Juicy mulberries, dark cherries and tangerine rind are accompanied by hints of star anise and juniper. Long, silky and super slurpable; Grenache is great!
Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
