GROWING & MAKING: Pinot Noir from the Koomal Creek vineyard in Smithbrook, near Pemberton. Gravelly karri loam soils, cool climate and an immaculate, dry-grown vineyard all contribute to pristine quality grapes. 15% whole bunches added into the ferment which was gently hand-plunged for two weeks; basket pressed and then matured in delicious second-fill French oak for fourteen months. Berry fruits, hints of exotic spice and a long silky finish all scream class. Proper Pinot, hooray!
Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
