Beautiful Geographe Syrah co-fermented with juicy Blackwood Valley Viognier. Bright, fruit driven and fragrant, Mr Silky Pants is a real smooth cat.
GROWING & MAKING: In 2025 we received a small parcel of Harvey Syrah from the Moloney’s the same weekend we picked the Nield’s Boyup Brook Viognier. Shiraz Viognier blends traditionally have 3-5% white Viognier added to the red Shiraz grapes. As ours comes from vineyards over 120km apart, it means everything is perfectly ripe and we can go crazy and add 35% Viognier to ferment with the Syrah. Packed with red cherry, strawberries and blood plums, this also has underlying seductive hints of violets, lavender, cinnamon and white pepper. The palate is vibrant and juicy, but has ripe, plush tannins that linger in a tsunami of smoothness. It’s time to get your silky pants on!
