Tempranillo and Shiraz from the Moloney’s slick little Harvey vineyard. A seductive, spice driven blend that screams “chuck another chorizo on the barbie”.
GROWING & MAKING: Equal parts Tempranillo and Shiraz from Mark and Julie Moloney’s Harvey vineyard, a warmer site that producers lush fruit flavours, while maintaining beautiful layers of savoury spice. The grapes were picked at the same time and fermented together in a marriage of deliciousness. Old school wine making kept things simple - three weeks on skins, hand plunging, basket pressing and maturation in neutral oak. When making a blend, the components shouldn’t just complement each other but should enhance each other to make something truly delicious. Red fruits and liquorice spice from the Temp, brambly blue fruits and pepper from the Shiraz. Fine tannins and a lingering finish from the Temp, a juicy midpalate and fragrant aromas from the Shiraz. The ultimate barbeque banger that brings plenty of yum!
